EuroSummer ‘24 Look Book

Hi there

To commence my return back to my small empire (my blog), I wanted to do something different. Instead of covering the style of other influential, impactful, and unforgettable women, I decided to cover someone special who exudes all of these qualities and more: myself.

This summer, I had the privilege to travel to Europe for the second year in a row (courtesy of my parents’ bank account). I prepare for vacations like it’s my Met Gala, so I really took the time to carefully plan out each outfit (some of which I wasn’t even able to wear, sadly) because my Instagram photos depended on it. Kidding!!! Partially…

Anyways, since I’ve been back, I thought it would be a great idea to put together a look book of all the looks I wore in Europe and share them with anyone who loves fashion, or me :)

Enjoy!!

P.S, some of the pieces are either A, Vintage hand-me-downs or B, I just couldn’t find the exact piece. Okay now enjoy.

Milan, Italy

This was my first night in Milan, and we were going to dinner. For some reason, Italy just screams red to me, more specifically, a deep red. I had this dress for over 2 years and never worn it, so I figured this would be the opportunity. The bag belongs to my mother and it coincidentally matched perfectly. Lastly, I just paired it with Sambas to give it a more relaxed, effortless feel. I threw my hair up in a half up half down and took the best pictures one could take with low lighting.

This was the next day, and we were going to be out all day. I knew I wanted to wear this double denim skirt, so I felt like my mother’s old boots would fit for a more ‘grunge’ feel (that sounded cringe). Fun fact, this shirt actually is my sister’s and I stole it when I was like 13. So crazy how clothing from years ago can still be worn today, well, if it’s not a micro trend. That’s the true definition of having a personal style; It lasts through the years. Anyways, I had this belt chain that I got a couple months ago and paired that with the skirt. The bag is also my mother’s old bag from 15 years go. Like I said before, true style can withstand the horrors of trendy clothing. Of course, I wore my infamous YSL cat-eye sunnies.

This day, we went to Lake Como for the day. I had this House of CB dress that my sister gave to me just sitting in my closet, and I figured what better place to wear this beautiful dress than Italy!! It was even more perfect that we decided to come to Lake Como, because I truly feel like I did this dress justice, being in Italy and surrounded by all the beautiful florals and buildings in my beautiful dress. This bag is also my sister’s, gifted to her by my dad 7 years ago, I believe. I think I have a bit of a hoarding problem, because it seems like I keep everything. Well, everything that matters. In the first photo I’m seen wearing these cute Mossimo heels that were only $20!! Then, I soon realized why they were $20. The strap broke on the right shoe while the sole came off on the left, WHILE I was walking. Luckily, my good sis Kemi was wearing my Sambas, so I wore those instead. Unfortunately for her, she was left walking barefoot for the rest of the day.

London, England

This was our first day in London. We didn’t have much to do this day, except exploring the city, shopping, and going out to lunch. I honestly didn’t want to wear any of my *better* outfits, so I decided to go for a chill outfit. I just threw on this bodysuit I had from Skims and paired it with my loafers. Of course, the sunglasses had to go with the look along with my favorite bag. To elevate this look, I threw on the trench coat. Also, why wouldn’t I wear Burberry in London????

This was also a chill day. If I recall, I think we hit a couple of vintage markets and went to the mall, nothing crazy. I got this Bodybyraventracy sweatsuit back in May, and never worn it, so I just threw this on for a chill, but put together look. I paired this set with my Yeezy 500’s (that seriously need to be cleaned) and this very cute mini Louis Vuitton shoulder bag that’s actually Kemi’s (thanks girl). Like always, I had the sunnies.

This day, we went to some vintage markets again, and contrary to how I looked (so very hot, I know) it was so very cold and I was actually freezing. Anyways, I love micro shorts now, especially with the loafers. I’ve been seeing that I a lot more now, and I wanted to put my own little twist on it. I had this Beyonce graphic tee that I LOVE (I’m actually writing this on her birthday, happy birthday queen!) and my friend’s black jacket since it was so very cold. The Airpods were unintentional, but it fits as an accessory to my outfit anyway!

This was a fun day. I modeled for the first time for a real clothing brand. You know, not those brands that your friend asks you to model for, using their Nikon camera. Lol. Anywaysss, this was my model-off-duty outfit when I arrived to the shooting location. This was a very chill and comfortable look because I really didn’t want to do too much if I was going to change anyways. I had this H&M cotton ribbed shirt paired with these Skims velour track pants that are ultra soft. Then, I added the trench coat again just for some dimension and I paired the Louis V bag for elevation. You can never go wrong with Sambas, and I stand by this.

This was unfortunately our last full day in London, and guess what we did…If you guessed shopping once again, congrats! We actually met up with our friend who actually lives in London, and we went to Chinatown and had good vibes. I knew I was going to be walking around all day, so I decided to wear these brown boots I got from this UK shopping store, Primark. I kept the base of the outfit pretty basic, with just a white bodysuit and some jeans. The Burberry trench and my YSL bag really pull the look together. As always, I can’t forget my sunnies.

Ibiza, Spain

This day was honestly way too hot for makeup or putting on a real outfit, so I just put on this Skims onsie, which is a staple in my wardrobe. Next, I just put these Dany Del Mar crochet shorts over the onsie. The shorts are actually a part of a set, and it’s supposed to be a beach cover up. My shoes are these Dior slippers my mom got from Dubai, but I couldn’t find the exact pair. Then I wore the MK bag for some contrast. The pink hibiscus flower in my head was from a bush from the hotel, and it made the perfect addition.

Later that night, we went to dinner, and I wanted to go for an effortless look, since we were eating dinner on the beach. I got this Skims tube top at the beginning of summer, and thought it would go nice with my capris. The outfit was still too basic, so I paired it with these lovely crystallized Jimmy Choo heels. I added the rose quartz bag for some fun color. Decided to do no makeup again, it was a vibe.

This was also a dinner night, and there was this beautiful sunset. We had to get pictures in before the sun went down, and I think my girl Kemi did my outfit justice. Fun fact about this dress, I bought it in November of 2022, and this was the first time I ever wore it. And what’s even crazier, I bought the same dress in black that has also never been worn. Maybe on my next vacation I can pull it out, along with all the other clothes I’ve purchased, but never worn. I believe there’s a word for people like me who just buy buy buy and have nowhere to wear them: a shopaholic.

One thing about me, I will dress up to go eat. Yes. Remember those Mossimo shoes that quite literally malfunctioned while I was walking? Well these shoes surprisingly stayed in tact. This beautiful set is from Mirare and I actually got it on sale, which is great because Mirae be expensive girl. Then I added the rose quartz bag again to compliment the light pink flowers.

This was unfortunately my last day in Ibiza, and soon after, we headed straight to the airport. As I said before, I have a habit of buying clothes and not being able to wear them. If you know, you know, I’ve been trying to wear this romper since June 2023! Every vacation I’ve been on, I never got the opportunity to wear it, but I made it my mission to wear this outfit, even if it was to the airport. I wore a white lace bra underneath for a cute ‘peak-a-boo’ moment, and although not pictured, the yellow bag was the perfect contrast to this deep blue.

This concludes my Europe outfit look book. I had so much fun putting all my looks together! I find real joy in creating some really cute outfits. I had even more fun wearing them all around Europe with my homegirl Kemi, and I can’t wait for my next adventure to showcase my creativity and self-expression through fashion.

Until next time,

Stay Haute x
